Like most who undertake family research I have hit a number of brick walls in my research. In fact I have not really done any research in the last decade which surprisingly (not) corresponds with starting my own family. So I have only added to the tree in a forward direction.
My original site related only to my own family research interests. I have decided to broaden the sites focus to include the problem of identifying old family photographs. I have a very large collection passed down through family. The majority of these were taken in the 19th century so there are no living relatives that can identify them.
I have searched the Internet for help on the identification process and found very little. This has forced me to develop my own strategies to tackle what at first seemed like an impossible task. I have created online discussion forums where information and ideas can be shared on the how to identify family photographs.
